Street Painting can brighten up any private event or festival! Having been a featured artist several times, Tia Starr is one of today's top professional street painters and has 30+ years of experience. She has trained several of her students and directs large detailed chalk paintings using a variety of themes. Street Paintings can be commissioned for a opening of a business, cultural festival, or celebration.

WORKSHOPS
Hosting art workshops allow Tia to teach clients in subject matter including: Portraits, Sketch book arts, perspective, book binding, plein air (on location), keiki crafts. Workshops also focus on art mediums such as charcoal, pastel and watercolor. Clients develop skills needed to explore in depth subjects in a variety of mediums

Tia Starr is an experienced Master Instructor of Arts Education and Fine Arts Curriculum as well as a working Professional Artist.
She has a BFA in Painting from SFAI, a California Secondary Teaching Credential (CS), and a Certificate in Art Therapy.
Tia was a visual arts instructor for 20 years at San Rafael High School, where she taught art, design, ceramics, and sculpture while also creating a successful Advanced Placement in Arts Program.
Tia has traveled extensively exploring and studying art and uses that inspiration to help her students develop and cultivate their Passion for the Arts.

Tia began learning art theory, history, and techniques at a young age from her grandmother and, then later, her high school art instructor. As a teacher, Tia supported aspiring artists to build quality portfolios that allowed them to reach their highest potential. Due to her commitment to life-long art development and her own desire to learn, Tia continues to take art courses often. These advanced talents in portfolio building and critique have instilled a visual aesthetic for quality art, and a vast expertise in visual arts knowledge.
