BEHIND THE SCENES IN MARCH

Judging the island wide poster contest “Sight is Beautiful ” for the Lions club. I looked at over a thousand posters along with the Donkey Mill who has been judging for years!!! We looked to choose posters with a original vision and created with skillful technique and media exploration. The student winners will be displayed at the state level.

  • Pulolu’u valley outlook was a sold out paint party at Olivia Clare. Photo taken by Sharon Shambourger of this beautiful black sand beach here at the northern tip of the island. They produced the most beautiful cliffside landscape paintings and of course we all had a fabulous time being creative.

The “spring effect” and how it can motivate your creativity

  1. Renewal and rejuvenation: Spring is often associated with the renewal of life, as plants bloom, temperatures rise, and days become longer. This sense of renewal can inspire a feeling of freshness and rejuvenation, which in turn can stimulate creativity.
  2. Increased exposure to nature: Warmer weather in spring encourages people to spend more time outdoors, exposing them to nature’s beauty. Research has shown that exposure to nature can enhance cognitive function and creativity.
  3. Positive mood: Many people experience improved mood during spring due to increased sunlight and warmer temperatures. Positive mood is often linked to greater creativity and problem-solving abilities.
  4. Change in routine: The changing of seasons often prompts people to reassess their routines and habits. This disruption can stimulate new ways of thinking and encourage creative exploration.
  5. Symbolism: Spring is often seen as a symbol of new beginnings and growth. This symbolic association can inspire people to embrace creativity and pursue new ideas or projects.
